2023 Miss Juneteenth PA Parade
VIP Kickoff Reception
The Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative held a VIP Kickoff Reception hosted by our Parade Production partner and sponsor 6abc. The reception unveiled plans for the upcoming 2023 Juneteenth Parade & Festival.
Black & X-Cellent Community Event
The Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative sponsored the Black & X-Cellent Community Event hosted by Johnson Roberts (Owner of Bustleton Learning Center) and Fayette Coppock-Brown (Founder and Artistic Director of the X-Perience Dance Company). This event featured performances by youth organizations, held a vending marketplace with black owned businesses and provided awareness about health and wellness and safety. Greater Philadelphia Corporate Volunteer Council
Pennsylvania Juneteenth Initiative’s Project Manager Helen Salahuddin and Media Specialist Gary Shepherd attended the Greater Philadelphia Corporate Volunteer Council Meeting hosted by Diane Melley, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Foundation and Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade & Festival sponsor.
