Mission Statement
The mission of the organization is to provide information to the public concerning the history and significance of Juneteenth through the production of cultural events such as parades, festivals and educational workshops including the Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade and Festival held in West Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Juneteenth Pageant.
Description of Event
PAJI organizes the Pennsylvania Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant with a mission to promote awareness and confidence among, African American young people while producing positive role models for the community; to develop young people that will promote self-confidence, self-worth, moral, academic and social support for our youth; and to publicly recognize men, youth, and women who have obtained personal, professional and community achievements. We will use this platform to educate, encourage and empower young people to be the best version of themselves in every area of life.
